Does anyone know of a place to purchase a new tr7 radiator? It seems only rimmer bros in england lists them. Thanks

So far, my local radiator shop has been able to recore every TRiumph radiator I've taken to them. Didn't try a TR7, but they did my Stag & TR3A. They can also repair frames & tanks to some extent.

Not the question you asked, but might be worth a thought.

I'll bet the wedge shop could locate a nice one for you. If you were closer I would sell you my spare.

I'm pretty sure Woody only sells his custom made aluminum ones that run $500 plus. They are awesome, and they bolt right in. I found an aluminum universal one at Summit that will fit in our opening for around $210. It isn't a direct bolt in, and it will require some major fabrication skills. It's dimensions are 26 X 16 X 3. I recently squeezed a Chevy aluminum one in. It's dimensions are 26 X 19 X 3. It actually hangs low. I had it laying around, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I spent some time in the back of an auto parts store trying to match up hoses. The Chevy outlets are larger than the TRs, so I had to splice an increaser into the hose. I also had to bend up some aluminum flat stock to make drop brackets to locate the bottom of the radiator.

John- Have it recored ,no problem.
Unless it is just thrashed

my raiator shop charged me about $150 for a recore with more fins/inch than the stock core.

I've had mine recored once and repaired once. The way to go IMHO.

Recores around here run $300 or more. I think that is what pushed Woody into coming up with the aluminum rad he sells. After reading this thread, I noticed one of my 7s was weeping a little on the drivers side. Luckily, I have one last used radiator in the basement.

I have a 7 radiator (and a 8 radiator too) sitting in my garage from the 7 I drove for a summer with no issues and being reasonably close i would be willing to part with it if you can not recore yours
