Wedge Tr7 popping sound from Rear

Local sports Car club was having an autocross event today. Went down to pay my dues, watch and have a complimentary tech (not ready for racing yet) with my TR7 FHC. The tech guy pushed on the body sideways at the rear wheel and heard a popping sound. He didn't seem to think it came from worn bushings on the links, Got home rear of FHC on jackstands and took off rear wheels. I didn't seem to have any play pulling sideways on the axel hubs. I was planning on replacing the bushings on the front and rear suspension, along with springs and shocks. Any way, any ideas what it could be if replacing the bushings doesn't cure the knocking sound?

Didn't see any LBC's there, tech guy said mine was the first TR7 he had seen in person.
