My 1980 TR7 has two SU carbs. According to some of the parts stores it should have Fuel Injection. Does anyone know if all were fuel injected after a specific year ? The car is low mile (under 47K orig miles)
 
For model year 1980, cars destined for California were fuel injected. All others were carbed. All model year 1981s were fuel injected.
 
it could be that your tr7 was manufactured in 1979 and first titled in 1980 as a 1980 vehicle. my '81 tr7 was originally titled as a '82 model year vehicle because it was first titled in 1982. probably the VIN plate has the manufactured date of the car.
