Is there a company that offers aluminum wheels to replace stock TR 6 steel wheels? I like the look of the original wheels and polished rims. Having a lighter wheel that keeps the look period correct would be very cool.

Thoughts?

You can always shop for lighter tires (no helium jokes). Seriously, there's a wide difference in tire weight. Every little bit of weight you can shave adds up.

New alloy wheels also offer strength as the stock TR6 steel wheel centers can crack. Styles, as you found out, are limited.
 
If i recall, there is a company in britain that make a copy of a d-type jag wheel and similar wheel that looks like a triumph wheel (without inner and outer add ons). They would look great on a triumph but the price was out of my range. I will try to find them for you so you can take a look.

Superlites are in consideration also. I really like the aluminium wheel that REALM offers. That option keeps the car looking original with a lot less weight and perfect "true" wheels. The price is steep but very cool wheels.

just want to point out that "superlites" are NOT super-light (in weight that is)

I recently saw that Minators (KN) seem to be made by Revolution Wheels. https://www.revolutionwheels.com/index.php Maybe an aquisition? Don't know. We have Minators on the 3A and really like them; the look is more of a copy of minilites than the polished rim Panasports. Minators weiggh more than Panasports but less than Superlights. Minilites are lighter still.

I have Revolution 5-spokes on the TR4A but not on the road yet.
