TR6 TR6 Weber Carb owners- a lil' help please

My dual weber carbs arrived today and unfotunately, it looks like one of them suffered some minor damage in transit. To add to the complexity of the situation, no manuals were included. The problem is what appears to be a spring rod has broken off (see red circle) where this rod connects to a small spring and attaches the other end of the spring to the throttle linkage (see thick red line).

The last photo shows how it should look. (The undamaged one).

Anybody know if that spring rod simply screws into place and I could back it out and replace it with a new one? Other ideas?

I have the 32/36 dgva's on my 71'TR6, I love them since I had the re-jetted. I belive that the rod is threaded in, use and easy out to remove it...

I wonder where Kodanja is? I could be wrong, but I think that he has that setup on his TR6.

Oops!!! Too late! He was posting while I was.

Thanks fellers. That is one sweet looking engine bay Kodanja.

'Nuther question: those battery cut off switches, you run them off the negative post?

Is that the reproduction battery? That's nice! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

The positive posts on batteries are larger then the negative posts. The battery cut off swtches are available for both the positive and negative posts, however, the postive side switches cost about three times as much as the negative post switches. I think it's probably because they have a red knob instead of a green knob. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/hammer.gif

I'm sure you can get the negative switch to fit on the positive side if you wanted to. BTW, it really doesn't make any difference which side you put the cut-off switch on.

and you could always pay 160$+- for one of these
