TR6 TR6 water pump gasket - also use sealer as well?

Hi guys - hope everyone is doing well.

So I got those darn rack gaiters fitted (your suggestions worked a treat).

The new water pump arrived today, and I am wondering what kind of gasket sealer you guys use when refitting the pump?

I just did my water pump last week and there's no leaks with Hylomar

Thanks guys - so just a thin bead on both sides of the gasket, or did you spread/smear it on both sides?

Just put a bead on each side of the gasket. As you tighten down the pump the sealant will spread out.

Either one, but I prefer Hylomar.
