TR6 TR6 waist seal clips - which side goes on which part?

Hi all, time to confirm a debate. The waist seal clips you can buy today (from Moss and elsewhere aren't just "U" shaped. They have the "U", and they have a small clip lower on one side. So... which part attaches to the rubber waist seal, and which part attaches to the metal lip on the door? I've seen Youtube videos that contradict each other. The small lower clip won't firmly grip the rubber seal without crimping it. Who has the definitive word??

This is the clip for the inner seal on the door window. The large U portion goes on the car body and the seal fits in the small portion.

Ah! That’s super helpful. Ok, I’ll need to track down clips for the outer seal. Thanks Charley!

The outer are a simple U shape. And a bear to put on. Moss does sell a tool or you can make your own.

The little hook part fits on to the little metal rail on the fuzzy seal...the other part with the little teeth fits/pulls up on to the door metal structure.

Cheers

I bought a two-pack from Amazon of similar tools to the one from Ace. Modified one by straightening it out and ground a section from the center to fit the clip. Worked great.
