TR6 vs. Alfa

Son is up from Florida for a few days and drove the TR6 on some New England back and main roads. Here is his evaluation - 1971 Triumph vs. 1992 Alfa Spider:
Ride - Alfa. Handling - Alfa. Gearbox - TR6. Engine sound - TR6. Seats - Alfa. Driving position - Alfa. Steering - Alfa?? Brakes - Alfa. Performance - TR6.
Not surprising considering the Alfa is 21 years newer. I questioned his steering evaluation but then again, I've never driven the Alfa. I always considered the TR6 steering to be very good, especially when compared to the awful, sloppy steering of the TR3 or the kickback of the MG TD.

Would also be interesting to hear from someone who's never driven *either* of the cars - and then has a day with each.

Thanks for the report!
TM
