TR6 TR6 Transmission Rebuild Woes

I am in the process of rebuilding my transmission for my tr6 and I have come across a few issues that give me a bit of concern. As a precaution, I bought new 1st, 2nd, and third gear BRASS (the ones I took out were brass as well) bushings from Moss. The first thing that I noticed is the ID of the top hat 2nd gear bushings does not appear to be large enough for my overdrive main shaft. The old one slips right on and off. The new one just won’t go all of the way on. I looked to see if there is a ridge or something, but it appears to be smooth.

As for the 1st and 3rd gear bushes, they appear somewhat short. When I was trying to measure the distance the new bushings stick beyond the gear, it was way under the 0.004 spec. The old ones are similar.

Has anyone else had problems like these when rebuilding a transmission? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Adam
