TR6 TR6 Sway Bar Bushings

Posting on behalf of a friend who has a TR6 -- he wants to replace the rubber bushings on the sway bar.

The difficulty he is having is getting at the nuts that hold the U-fittings. It appeared to me when I saw the car last week that this would require removal of the radiator.

Is there an easier way?

He may be reluctant to remove the radiator though if it is anything like the TR4 (I've had a lot of practice pulling that one out) it would not seem too difficult.

Thanks for any tricks, suggestions or sympathy.
