OK, now that the rain has stopped, I am getting ready to fire up my re-built engine. It has a GP2 cam and 9.5 CR.

Any recommendation on the plugs to use would be appreciated.

I've had nothing but good experience with Champion RN12YC in both engines. One was stock, the other hot.

I've used both the NGK above and the Champions. I'm currently using the Champions and they are fine.

Thank goodness; finally, someone (besides me) has something good to say about Champions! I've long thought I was the only one!

I admit to a fair level of ignorance on this particular topic, but I'm wondering if a slightly colder plug might be appropriate with the modifications stated, as in the [R]N9Y[C]?

Andrew,

Now you've got me thinking. I'm not near the car to check, but I wasn't paying attention to the RN12YC number, just the brand name. I MAY have the RN9YC's in mine. I'll confirm and post back, but they are Champions and I like them. I used them for over 20 years before the rebuild and have no real pressing reason to switch.

Wonderful, anyone want a set of brand spanking new RN12YC?

Just joking, I will give then a try...
