TR6 Reverse gear Problem

I have a 1973 TR6 2.5PI. I have had it since 1979 and have had virtually no problems with it. I work in the Middle East, so my car is in the garage under wraps for quite a lot of the time. Anyway last month, I fired her up and was going up and down my drive.I put her in reverse and the gear stick just seem to jam in there. The car wouldn't move at all. I dropped the clutch a few times and tried to get it out of gear but no luck. After about 5 minutes of trying this it eventualy popped out ! It did it twice more that day. So decided to leave in my garage until I can find out what I need to do. It could be due to lack of use or a selector gone.

Any idea's,suggestions or remedy, will be much appreciated.

Welcome, Spikey.

Post your question over on the Triumph section, and I'm sure you'll get a response.
