TR6 TR6 rear ride height with tube shocks

I have Good Parts spring, which lowered the car one inch, which I wanted.
The I installed Blind Moose rear tube shock kit with KBY's
which rasied the rear ride height, which I did NOT want.

I like the way the KYBs ride and handle. But not what they did to the ride height. Does anyone out there have somewhat the same combo of stuff I have, maybe with different shocks that preformed, but did not effect the ride height.
Looking for suggestions on changing the rear shocks, maybe away from a Gas (KYB) shock?

If you don't use a gas charged shock, they will not lift the back end at all. If the springs are at the rate you like then you don't need the added "rate" that a gas charged shock tends to add. I know the gas charging has other benefits, but a good standard design will give a good ride as well. I know with my race springs I wouldn't want it to be any stiffer.

Fwiw The gas shocks might settle down, can't remember what mine did on another car.

I had the KYB shocks on the rear of my TR6, along with competition springs that lowered the rear about an inch. Didn't like the ride of the KYBs so I switched to Spax adjustables, have them dialed somewhere in the middle and like the ride. Seems the KYBs did jack them up a bit, or at least felt that way. The Spax are adjustable from the rear with a long, thin screwdriver.

They were pricey, but not as bad a Konis.

Richard, I would check that the shocks are the right length for your lower springs, as opposed to standard height springs.
I think it is the job of the springs to support the weight of the car, and the shocks to "damp" the movement of the springs.

It's also possible the suspension is sitting higher after you took the load off by jacking it up to install the shocks, and may settle in driving.
