I'm trying to put back my differential together. one fiber trust washer was broken under a sunwheel gear. Once the two fiber washers were changed, sunwheels get closer together, and planet gear go further apart. At this point, I can't get back the copper washer underneat the planet gears.. It's like if they are too thick. I tried undersized but it's not better.
Is there a trick or method to put thoses back together??

Thanks

Yvan

Yvon, it sounds like your thrust washers under the planet gears are too thick. They come in 13 different sizes. You tried an undersize you said, but you really need to measure which one you need. Try assembling without planet thrust washers and measure the gap behind them with a feeler gauge. Subtract about .002" or so for some freeplay and order that size. Good luck.
