TR6 TR6 rear axle oil change

LMFAO----How true is that???

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:]Remember that gear oil does not have detergents like motor oil does,[/QUOTE]

Another reason that they smell so bad when you drain the oil out of them. PEE=YEW!!! And the old Posi-traction fluid was even worse.

So this past weekend I siphoned the oil out of the TVR's diff. A time consuming, messy and generally unpleasant job. But at least I now know I am not driving around in a car with 36 year old oil in the diff.

I think I'll look into investing in a good quality siphon device.

Thanks for everyone's response.
