TR6 TR6 radiators

Hello,

I’m putting my 72 6 back on the road after about 5 years of storage. Needless to say it has some work that needed/needs to be done. Turns out my radiator is leaking. (I had it recored about 25 years ago.) Found that out because in our nice 92 degree weather she started running at 3/4 on the gauge when stopped in traffic. Dropped in a new thermostat (the old one was stuck open) and then found the beginnings of the leak.

So, time to replace it. I’d really like to go to an aluminum radiator and looking around it seems as if only Moss and TRF carry a drop in for the 72. (Rimmer only has them for later models as of this writing) Does anyone have experience with either of these products? The TRF ones are more expensive but they do have one with a fan kit and built in thermostat for the fan but man it is pricey! (As an aside the car currently has an old Hayden fan installed that may be getting a bit long in the tooth).

Thanks for any help.

Joe

On an unrelated note, is Wishbone Classics out of business?

I would have the radiator recored, preferably with a modern 4 core.
More expensive than an alloy one, but looks factory and will last much longer,
