I get a little concerned about the vinyl oil pressure gauge line busting and pumping oil everywhere not to mention getting stranded has any one replaced the vinyl with copper or with some other type of line?

Moss, either US or UK used to offer a braided steel line. Difficulty in changing the line is the fitting used on the back of the gauge is not an easy one to find.

I think OTOMH it's something like 1/8"BSP (British Pipe thread on the back of the gauge, not to be confused with BPP British Parallel Pipe) and the SS braided lines are AN -3. They use an AN adapter, Maybe check PegasusAutoRacing.com for the adapter. Or a kit from Moss or TRF.
