I need some aluminum trim rings for my TR6. I am restoring my TR6 and need some aluminum trim rings in new condition.

I have some original TR6 trim rings but they are not "new" and most of them would require a good polishing to get out any surface scratches. If interested I could take some pics for you.

Thanks for your offer, but I am trying to locate ones in new condition with the anodized finish still in tact. I guess I am one of the few who prefer aluminum. The anodized finish has worn off one of my trim rings quite a bit, and it is a pain to always polish it just so that it somewhat matches the other rings.

I have a set of 4 rims that came with the car when I bought it 21 years ago. It has wire wheels. May have been a conversion. They look like new and have been sitting in my cellar for lo those many years. I am about as far from Washington State as you can get - SW CT. I can take pictures if you wish.

Yes, I am interested. if you could send pics that would be great. Let me know what you want for them too. Thanks.

They have some light surface scratches from being stacked that could be buffed out but one rim Rim2.jpg has a couple of deeper scratches that might also be buffed out. Picture herewith. (Close-up picture would not upload).

Sorry for the delayed response. Thanks for sending the pics. Are you sure these are aluminum? I have a set now with the anodized finish, but once they are scratched, there is not much you can do.

A very strong magnet would not stick to the shiny side of these but did stick to the back side. How can I tell if these are aluminum?

I posted your question on the forum. The aluminum has a satin, brushed aluminum finish. One person mentioned using th Mohr hardness test by making a small scratch on the back, but the finish is what stands out the most to me.
