TR6 TR6 MPG

I got 27.1 miles to US gallon last night. beat up GT6 Engine in my TR with large K&N air filters and overdrive and electric fan. I would say 60/40 country/city on this tank. Oh and 20-50 oil with a pint of STP to keep the bearings quite!

Yeah, and with a 10 gallon gas tank seems like I'm always filling it up, these cars were designed for England where a 250 mile radius gets you most of the way across the country. On a positive note though with todays gas prices it's only 1/2 a mortgage to fill up. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

in stock form:
city 20
hwy 25 without o/d
hwy 18 when driving 90mph

with the V8 right now (before re-jetting):
city 17
hwy 23 (at 75 mph) with o/d

With a shaved head to 9:1 but completely stock otherwise, and no o/d, an even mix of rural, highway and city, with a fairly heavy foot I get 22-23mpg. Seems average for folks I know
