TR6 TR6 master cylinder rebuild questions

Hello,
I am rebuilding the brake master cylinder in my 69 TR6. My manual says to make sure I use the correct rebuild kit. I bought the rebuild kit from VB this time. I looked at the VB and Moss catalogs again, and they list only one rebuild kit. I seem to remember there being two different rebuild kits in the past. Do I have anything to worry about?
Kevin

TR250 and early TR6 through CC52952 used the .75" bore cylinder. After that a .70" cylinder was used.
The .75" Moss rebuild kit is #583-780.

I looked up the repair kit again on the VB website. They show the same repair kit for the TR250 and TR6 (69-76). Am I just confusing the brake master cylinder with the clutch master cylinder bores? The clutch master cylinder was made with .70 and .75 bores and does come with different repair kits.

I have ordered from them in the past, but I normally order a bunch of parts together. They seem to be very limited in the variety of parts. The postage has become quite expensive too.

I believe so, yes. Never heard of there being different brake MCs for the TR6 (although there's always the possibility that someone has switched yours in the past).

But don't you get a cookie ?

I've read that some owners upgrade/revert back to the bigger bore master cylinder (clutch) to get more movement at the slave end. Does this work?

Sorry, don't mean to hijack your thread, Kevin. I was drawn to the thread title because I just ordered the clutch master and slave rebuild kits last week from BPNW for my '71.

Andrew, the brand is TRW.
That's reassuring, as TRW kits are essentially "OEM"! In the past, I've had some very BAD luck with some aftermarket seal kits, i.e., seals so hard and stiff that they cracked while attempting to install them! I've never had that problem with a Girling -> Lucas -> TRW seal kit.

Actually, they ended up being cheaper in the long run this time. I did get some mini Hershey chocolate bars this time.

Tootsie rolls last week.
