TR6 TR6 leaky heater valve

The heater valve on my TR6 has decided to spout coolant particularly if it's in the open position.
Has anyone ever tried dismantling/rebuilding these gizmos?
It doesn't look too complicated/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hammer.gifand it's probably just a perished O ring needs replacement.

I had mine go off like Mt Saint Helens once while pulling into the driveway. I toyed with taking it apart but the replacement one wasn't all that much, and I wanted the car back on the road ASAP. If there is an oring in there you could most likely get a replacement one from somewhere like McMaster Carr supply, but you usually have to buy like a hundred at a pop. I bought some of the little o-rings for the PDWA brake switch from there, but I had to buy a bag of 100. It wasn't very much for the 100, a few bucks if I remember, and I've managed to find a few other uses for them along the way. I guess you could then supply all the other folks on this board with O-rings for their water valves if needed.
