TR6 TR6 Leaking brake fluid

Found the brakes working sluggishly today. They worked better when pumping the brakes several times, but figuredit wasn't worth the risk so I had to bring the TR-6 home early today.. Bummer.

I looked under the hood and, lo and behold, the brake fluid is nearly non-existant in the container (well below the DANGER line). The drops of fluid leaking on my garage floor must have been brake fluid..

Looks like it could be a leak in a brake line, or something similiar.

Any suggestions, or helpful tips, or stories welcomed.

Thanks again.

Lots of possibilities here -- all easily found and fixed, most can even be done cheaply.

The obvious question is 'where is the puddle?' as that will tell you if it is a wheel cylinder, rubber line, connection, bleed screw, master cylinder, caliper or whatever.

I would top it up and pump the pedal to induce a fresh leak on the floor. Use some care if you have DOT 3/4 fluid (make sure it isn't the m/c cylinder leaking on your paintwork).
