I had the top up yesterday and noticed the rear end howling, I guess its time to send it out and have it rebuilt. I know of only 2 places, TRF and quantumechanics, anyone used either of these and were you satisified with the work?

TRF rebuilt my diff and even added a drain plug! No problems.

If you are not in a rush TRF will do a nice job. For all it's worth, I spoke with TRF this week about replacing a diff axle seal and they are backed up four to six weeks at the moment. If you call TRF, use their tech phone # (814) 446-4491 and ask for Dave.

TRF have always been responsive, and Dave (noted in post above) is very knowledgeable. They gave me a lot of value-added help earlier this year when I was pulling my diff apart. I did not need a full rebuild, only seals and an input shaft bearing, but if I did need a rebuild I would not hesitate to send my diff to them.

The Quaife is essentially a torque sensing differential. From my research, they're not as good as the Salisbury for the one reason that the Quaife stops working if one wheel comes off the ground; but for street and moderate racing I don't think that weakness would be an issue. There are a number of resellers in the US, however I bought mine from Moss UK. At the time, it was cheaper than anything in the US, even with import duties added.

The Quaife also comes with a limited lifetime warranty, which hopefully I won't be using.
