TR6 TR6 Header

I've been looking for a header for my TR6. I'm planning sometime down the road that I'll be doing some engine work like bumming the CR up to 9-1 and triple strombergs. I'm wondering what would be the best header out there. I see that there are a few different choices out there. The Pace Setter has a header but I don't really want/like the black finish it comes in. I like the chrome/stainless steel look. I've seen that Moss has the sport header which seems kinda pricey to other prices I've came across. My car is a 73 so it has 2 exhaust which I thinking about just hooking up the header to the exhaust already on the car. I am willing to change the whole exhaust for a single pipe. Well I guess thats another question what would be the best exhaust for my car? Thats all I have for now.

Eric,
I have the Falcon stainless 6-3-2 two-piece header on my 73 hooked up to the Falcon stainless sport exhaust. First, the header matches up well to the head but placing two of the nuts on the studs is a bit tricky, but doable. Second, hanging the dual sport exhaust using stock hangers or even the junk they sell you for this system is virtually impossible. The darn mufflers are just too huge to leave any clearance for suspended hangers. I resorted to rigging two steel cross bars, one at the rear of the frame and one at the front of the diff braces. I bolted the whole thing up as high as it would go and tight as a drum. This, of course is a big no-no as the engine needs to shake. Well, I solved this by ordering two stainless 12" flex pipes to mount just aft of the header exits. This gives me max clearance (I still drag) and plenty of flex for the engine to do it's thing. Strapped everything together with 2" stainless band clamps that when air-ratcheted down tight give maximum secure pipe-to-pipe retention and no distortion so the whole thing can be broken down when need be. Make sense? It works well. I added huge wide oval custom resonator tips to both mufflers for much less noise than Monzas but a true bellicose Triumph rasp.
