TR6 TR6 Fuel Pump

Good morning all,
I have a quick question I want run by you. I have had my 1972 150bhp TR6 for about 5 months, its in quite good condition and I have done about 2000 miles in it so far. (I cant leave it alone......must be driven!)

On my last trip, which was about 500miles the fuel pump started to act up. The pump is about 2 years old and is the uprated Bosch pump(not the Lucas beer warmer). The pump became very noisy and causing the car to mis-fire every so often at low rev's, and caused the car to cut out once at traffic lights, but it was generally fine when the car was moving. The weather was very hot, by Irish standards mid to high 20's and I had been running the car at about 60-70mph for about an 100miles.

So the question is, have I knackered the pump and need to get a new one, could it have been vapour lock, or is it something else?

Thanks

Check the filter and fuel lines for any blockages before you order a new pump. Those thing could cause the same problems.
