TR6 Tr6 fresh air vent replacements

I’ve just replaced the heater in my 76 Tr6 - used the upgraded heater purchased from Rimmer Bro’s (from Remington). New hoses, grommets, 3 speed switch, etc. The original vents bind and are hard to operate. I can leave them open I guess. Has anyone found replacements? I’ve found 60mm diameter new vents (Suzuki) that should fit. Before voyaging off - anyone have a solution you have implemented?

Regards,
Mike

When I did my restro I removed them and washed them with mild dishwash soap. After they dried they worked as good as new. They were filled with dust and all sorts of filth.
