Can anyone direct me to a member of the forum who is knowledgeable in repairing the frame of a TR6 ?

Thanks Darrell,

I have been over Justin's post quite a few times. Justin didn't mention if he took before and after measurements during the whole welding process. I am doing pretty much the same thing as he did with the addition of trailing arm mounts. I am an aircraft welder by trade, so the actual welding/fabrication is not an issue. I have concerns with dimentions when finished.

Do you have the drawing with all the frame dimensions?
 
When working on mine, we worked off of a large level table and used many metal bar spacers to support all sections of the frame so nothing moved during cutting. Yes, we measured everything several times and referred to the diagram in the shop manual for factory specs. Not sure what all you are doing. We were sectioning in the frame from the firewall forward.
Everything went smoothly and the results were excellent.
 
Mind if i ask where are you an aircraft welder? I am one aswell out in Long Island New York, working for a Pratt & Whitney subcontractor

I work for GE Aviation in Manchester CT. We are a Pratt & Whitney subcontractor as well. I weld primarily Titanium,(F-100 Sync Ring) but also stainless and aluminum. I've been there 20 years.

I have the Bentley manual with the blueprint type drawings. Are those the drawings you are talking about ?

Will do Hondo, I was actually going to get together some pics of the whole car and show you guys what I have done to it so far. I am afraid you will be looking at a story similar to Justin's though. This was suppose to be a quickly freshened up driver that is now in many pieces!
 
Ahh but mine now will not even be a TR6 when it's finished >_< I'll have to keep an eye out for another TR6 someday in the future, but for now I'll have no room for another vehicle when I finish getting the Hathaway Hunter body ready.
 
Justin, Why even be on this cool site . When your are altering such a masterpiece of a Triumph sports car. Shame on you!!

I think the Hathaway has wicked cool line (Justin understands that statement because he lives in New England. I can't wait till he gets it and starts updating us on his progress.

Justin has been on this site for a long time and shared a lot with members. Just because he has chosen to change the sheet metal on his car is no reason for him to leave this site. "Shame on you" is a little harsh. Remember it is his car, he can do with it as he see's fit. I can't wait to see the new body and agree it will be wicked cool.
