Got a call from my brother shortly after I got home tonight. He wanted to stop by and pick me up to go and get his TR6 out of winter storage so he could get it in his garage before the big storm hits tomorrow. And he needed me to be a driver, and drop off his regular car at our parents house blah blah blah... long story short We checked the fluids, tested the pedals, and she fired right up. even after sitting since november. A few minutes to chase out some lucas gremlins and get the rear lights working, and we headed over to my parents house about 6 miles from the storage garage. ran like a top!.
Then I needed a lift home (another 5 miles) an dhe offered me the drivers seat. Yeeee Hawwww!
I've been in an LBC drought since I sold the TR4A. I usually only get to drive dads MGB and bros TR6 once a year each when I take them to work to give them a state inspection.
I needed that! It was top up, and a bit cold. But It was good to hear the exhaust note, and snick through the gears while bipping down the road.
I was thinkin about Tinster and crypty.... and the pile of TR2 parts in my shop.
I guess I'm ready for the snow now....... ~sigh~
