TR6 TR6 fender flares

Time to "dress" the wheel wells. Any one know of a place to pick up front and rear fender flares for a TR6? A couple of options would be nice(less than $200/wheel).

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I've never seen flares manufactured by anyone, to add onto any of the various TRs. But over the years have seen a few cars that had custom flares installed.

The easiest way would probably be to install fiberglass fenders, then do some work on those to get the flare you want.

The Roadster Factory used to have kits TRFCD217 Flared Fender Kit. listed in the green book. Don't know if their available and afraid to ask the price.

Jeff:
I saw many flares at Road Atlanta in the 70's and they were just a fender cut and hammered out to make the flair. I never felt under the fender to see what reinforcement (if any) they had. Big tires just don't fit in the wells especially with lowered suspension and "racing" wheel movements. You do loose the stock look and IMHO they look much better flared, even with out “44” on the side of the car. Sure like to see some finished pictures.

Thanks for the inputs.

I checked oute0bay and found several sets that look likely to work. The vast majority are for the larger SYV and Jepp applications, but there are some fiberglass types that look good. I may have to measure what they are designed for and see how that stock wheel well compares to the TR6. Seems one should be able to get a set of 4 for under $300.
