GT6 TR6 dual exhaust manifold on GT6 engine?

This has always been a question on my mind, mostly after looking into the pheonix header and GT's work for triumph, but is there a benifit of factory dual exhaust that can be seen on the gt6?

Is there a benifit seen on the TR6 to switch manifolds? is it only an emmissions change?

I'm full of questions.
 
Flinkly, It should work nicely, if you have room for two pipes to run down the frame, which I don't think there is. You might be able to use the front TR4A "Y" pipe to get through the frame with a little cutting, then get you local muffer shop to plumb the rest. Watch you don't get it too loud, my sons was great around town, but on a trip was very unpleasent. If you are not on a budget, (4226.62), well, you have not shown restraint so far, I think VB sells a Spit dual system which should work.

As I see it, there is little or no benefit in fitting a 6-2-1 type (header) manifold on a Triumph six as they do not 'work' like a 6-3-1 and give little advantage over the original cast 6-1.

I would be more inclined to save time/money/hassle and stay with your original manifold.

Just my two penny's worth.
