TR6 TR6 Cubby Box

I am tired of not being able to open my cubby box without prying at the door. I found the buffer bracket that is supposed to open the door when the lock is pressed.
My question is where is the bracket supposed to be positioned?
By the way I do have my dash panel removed and I do know the bracket goes on the back side of the panel I just don't know the appropriate location.
Thanks
RomanH
