TR6 TR6 Carbon Canister Relocate?

Looks like he's got everything creating a vacuum plugged, except the dizzy retard line.
 
You're right PB. Sorry for the old school, "if it's a port on a carb, it better be hooked up or plugged" mentality.
 
You're right, Paul. All the ports on the carbs pull a vacuum except the ones that Tom left open. Those are the ones closest to the air box to ventillate the float chamber. If that's plugged up, there will be problems.
If those ports are connected to the Charcoal Can and thereby the Anti Run-on valve, when the key is turned off, the ARV will transfer the intake manifold vacuum to those ports to shut off the fuel to the jet. Or at least that's the theory.
I found it surprising that so many people, including myself,don't need the anti run-on valve.

I've had mine disconnected on the old engine, when I had a defective oil pressure switch that allowed the A/R Valve to stick on and drain the battery and I didn't need it then, but did hook it up properly when I got the new switch.

I do have it hooked up properly with the new engine and will probably leave it that way, as everything is working fine as is.

Good to know about that plugging those being a problem though.
