Does anyone know the GE or Sylvania equivalent for the TR6 Front Flasher and parking Lamp Unipart No GLB380(5/21 Watts) and to the Front Parking Lamp Unipart No GLB989(6 Watts). I'm sure that they have an equivalent you can purchase at Pep Boys or Western Auto. Unfortunately Triumph cars do not exist in the bulb catalogs at these stores.

The parking and directional bulb in my TR6 is the standard 1157 bulb. Any auto parts store will have them.

Googling the part numbers brings up a french site that may be helpful.

GLB380 is a Sylvania 1157, extremely commonly used for taillamps and available at any auto parts store.

GLB989 is a little more tricky. It's listed as a T4W. Googling that brings up this site which lists a 12V 6W lamp with a BA9s base as Lucas 989 or Phillips 12819. This does not seem to crossreference either. However, the French site lists it as a 6W bulb, and we know that a 12V bulb at 6W is 0.5A draw (P=VA). I can't find a reference for a 6W bulb by Sylvania but there is a 5W 12V with a BA9s base listed under 3983. I'd swear I saw these at autozone as well, though I can't find it on their website. I did find both on the Advance Auto Parts website. Hope this helps.

Hayfever. Thanks again. You got me thinking. I did some research on line and found a bulb for the 989. It's Sylvania 1895. Thought I'd share it with you. Here a link
https://www.imperialinc.com/items.asp?item=0815332. I dont know how to post it so you can access it directly from here. It works from your browser. I wish for you many hours of good motoring in your 69 TR6. I just completed a ground up restoration of a 72 TR6. I've had it since new.

TRF has bulbs for all the lights. They also sell complete bulb kits which is one of each bulb on the car. (at least for TR6/250)

Hola kindofblue:
Thanks for your imput. TRF has lead the pack of suppliers foe British auto parts for quite a while now. However, lately their service has deteriorated. I ordered some spin-on filters for my TR6 over a week ago. When a week passed and I had no reply, I called... Their reply....they had a backlog in shipping and the parts had not been shipped. They couldn't even tell me when they would go out. So I went to my old friend the internet looked up a Purolator and Fram equivalent. I've already changed the oil and driven the car over 100 miles. They can ship whenever they want to now. I'm trying to do the same for most of the parts like fuel filters, bulbs oil filters etc.and order from them the parts that are not readily available.

Thanks again
