TR6 Tr6 auction noon today 3k miles

STARTING at 20K? Must be special!

It,s very nice. However there are a lot of undercoating plugs. Interior looks showroom condition. Pics on line bid on line too.

Engine compartment is undercoated too. It is soft and could be removed with a solvent. Other then what I mentioned it is unmolested.

The auction was advertised a few weeks ago in the local Farm and Dairy, with on line bidding available at the time. The "starting bid" was probably the result of that. It was a very nice car.

32 Grand for a TR6 and the car isnt 100 points. Wow,I love making money while I sleep. Is the market going nuts,or is it just my imagination? US dollar sinking to new lows? Enroll you Triumph under Obama care by using it's nickname as a family member for a full restoration under a LBC doctor{mechanic]. Think the paper pushers would ever pick up on it? Thoughts?

Just got back from the auction and I'd be disappointed when it arrives if I spent 32k. Someone on line won the auction. I double checked the pics on line and unless you knew what you were looking at (the little yellow dots) they were all through out the car. Turned out to be Zbart plugs. Along the top of the rockers and door posts. The framing for the bonnet, trunk and engine compartment. Who ever did the rust proofing must have known from experience where to put it. The talk there was why under coat a car if you were only going to drive it that little. The guy was very meticulous about the car. There must have been 15+ service records with a lot of $ spent for such low mileage.

Yep - my thoughts are let's leave politics out of this, please.

With the relative glut of TR-6s in the marketplace, that $32K price seems a bit out of line even for a low mileage car.

From what I've seen in past months, prices on restored TR-6s seems to be headed a bit downward.

This would seem to be an anomaly, no? :yesnod: What do you TR-6 gurus think about current pricing trends???

Mickey,
I agree - it could get ugly fast.
I've also noticed that the values of TR6's
have gone down in the last 6 months.
