TR6 TR6 aftermarket valve cover

I am interested in going to an aftermarket valve cover, specifically a mirror-finish stock type. I have looked on Moss Motors and only see the TriumphTune type which is not what I'm looking for at the moment. In addition, the website mentions that the EGV valve mounting bracket may have to be modified to use the TriumphTune covers. Two questions...where can I find the mirror-finish valve covers and is the EGV valve bracket situation much to deal with with the other valve covers? THX

If your looking for a 'stock' type cover with the mirror finish your best bet is to have your cover chromed or get an extra one and have it chromed. The only aftermarket valver covers that I am aware for the TR6 are the aluminum variety.

I bought my chrome cover on ebay. There's a guy on there that sells them now and then. And they have the proper baffle unlike the aftermarket ones. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

Is the "baffle" you refer to the mounting bracket for the EGV present on the stock valve covers?

No, the Baffle is in the valve cover, its a flap with steel wool in it. It prevents oil from being sucked into the carbs. The aluminum manifolds don't have that.

I had mine powder coated locally. They call it "near chrome". You should be able to find something close. It's a very shiny silver. (I have tried to attach a picture)

Turns out that I found someone who gets old TR valve covers and has them chromed for resale on eBay. Hope my bids wins. It'll look **** good under the hood!
