I believe it's a little of both. Automatic linkages are usually trivial to hook up and get to work well (plus of course they don't have to work constantly) ... many of them are simple cables. But clutch & shifter linkages are significantly harder to get to work properly, with good feel and all. And having a manual shift go wrong can be pretty disastrous (once caught 1st gear instead of 3rd due to a shifter problem while trying to run a timed 1/4 mile).glemon said:Anyway, as stated, don't get it, is an autobox easier to install when you do a conversion, or just so many more of them lying around?
