TR4/4A TR4A wiper motor questions

1 Is the wiper motor on the 4A two speed? Looking at pictures it looks identical to the one I have on my TR3A which is only one speed. If it is two speed how can you differentiate it from the earlier single speed motors.
2 Can a TR6 wiper motor be used on TR4A's, and if so are there any caveats with regards to using one, such as the extent of the wiper "sweep", mounting bracket issues, electrical switching. I have a TR6 motor and was thinking I could use it.

Thanks,

Richard

Yes the TR6 motor can be used on a Tr 4. BUT the motor mounting bases are different and you will need to adapt the new base . The wiring on the TR 6 motor also has more wires and uses a single male/ female plug. Your choice there to get a plug or do a work around. The TR4 and TR 6 use the same windshield and frame so there is no problem there.
I have a TR4 with a TR6 wiper motor but it came to me that way.

The TR6 motor not only has the ground in the harness, but must be grounded on the frame as it sets in rubber.
A good conversion,
