https://www.craigslist.org/sby/car/170204232.html is a '66 TR4A with Surrey top, black over tan, wires, wood dash, looks like a nice car, appears to have been kept fairly original, trunk rack and fog lights added. If the SU HS6s are original, it must be post-CT62xxx. $6900 seems very reasonable. I'm too tempted!
https://www.craigslist.org/nby/car/170416036.html in Santa Cruz is asking a bit more more - $11,950 - for a pretty nice looking '64 TR4 that appears to have had some subtle "customizing" done. A few changes I see are Raydyot mirrors and high back seats with a nicely pocketed tonneau. Looks like some sort of reflectors/decals/something? right below the mirrors. That might be a Mota Lita wood steering wheel and an optional wood dash. Also, front and rear bumper overriders, front and rear "Triumph" lettering and the hood emblem are removed/missing?. TR3A rear license plate light. Custom UK-type front license plate, # matches the rear/"real" plate. Calif. "black plate" (i.e., fairly likely an original Calif. car). White over black, described as excellent condition.
Both these appear to be very good drivers, at the very least.
No pictures with either one, but there are also a couple GT6 project cars FS in the area. Non-runners asking $950 (https://www.craigslist.org/sby/car/168238605.html) and $1000 (https://www.craigslist.org/eby/car/168281179.html). Earlier cars and one has a weird engine transplant. I'm still holding out for a Mk III (preferably at least a runner)!
NFI or up close & personal knowledge of any of these!
