TR4/4A TR4A throttle linkage

I am rebuilding a TR4A in VA and have a question on the throttle linkage. My car has the Zenith Stromberg carbs. 3 pieces of data would help me tremendously:

1. the dimension from connector to connector of the long throttle linkage shaft (pedal connection to vertical link)
2. the dimension from connector to connector of the vertical link (pivot to the carb connector)
3. does the pivot get mounted with the longer arm pointing down or going horizontal?

I hope these make sense. I would really appreciate any help in this matter.

I can't help you with TR4 linkage dimensions, but you could eliminate a lot of potential issues with a Ratco conversion.

Ratco on a TR6

These do fit the TR4 if I remember correctly.

Welcome to the forum. Good choice of car.

Not sure I quite understand, so lets start with:

Long horizontal shaft that runs behind engine 14 7/16" from inside of arm that faces up to where it goes inside pedal female assembly (approx 3/8").

Horizontal shaft (Moss #90) from arm on shaft above shows 11", 14" overall including adjusters on both ends.

Pivot on carb (Moss #87) has long arm down and short arm forward.

Vertical shaft (Moss #86a) from short arm above to throttle link shows 5/16" thread, 3 5/16" overall including adjusters on both ends.

This is with ZS carbs, Stromberg would differ.

Let me know ?.........

just double checked and those are the same on my 67 tr4a with strombergs.

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate the help. I will check the dimensions out very soon and be sure that mine are correct. Glad I found this forum. :yesnod:
