TR4/4A TR4a grill refurb

Howdy! I've got 2 TR4a grills and overall they are similar, but the horizontal slats on one have a sharp edge where they turn down and the other is a gradual radius. I'm removing the small dents and scratches and welding up a couple of broken welds. Any ideas as to which one would be a 67 grill? Also I'm looking for a good shop to polish and anodize it once I'm thru with my work and would like your opinions.
Thanks, Rut

On my 67 4A, the grille has radii.

A brief internet search suggests perhaps the sharp edge is associated with the TR250??

Mike,
Thanks, that grill has a hand crank cutout so it eliminates the TR250, but otherwise it looks the same.
Thanks, Rut

I think I read some where that there were two different manufactors for the TR4a grill. Later being same as 250 but with crank opening.

Marv,
Thanks...it's the same grill that was painted black to resemble a 250 grill. I stripped it to find out what condition the aluminum was in and noticed the difference. The other TR4a grill is smoother, has more shine and the radius I mentioned earlier. They both clean up nicely, but I would like to have them polished and anodized...know any good companies?

Rut,
I don't know anyone that does that. Maybe just glass bead blast and polish slats with Mother's polish and steel wool. Afraid if you send it off, you will pay more for polish work than what you could buy another grill.

I'm still searching for a shop that does polishing and anodizing and if anyone has experience with one I would love to hear from you.
Thanks, Rut

I found a few shops in Florida and I'm waiting on quotes. I've attached pictures of the 2 grills so you can see the differences.

Quotes have started coming in and they are all in the $200 range to remove dents, scratches, weld, polish to my desired finish, and re anodize. Considering the amount of work involved I think that's a pretty good bargain! I'll post pictures of pre and post refurb once I have it back.

Check Art Brass and Plating, Inc. in Seattle, Wash. Not sure if they anodize, but the do polish and work many metals.
