Now that the MGB is finished and the Bugeye if off to the body shop for paint I want to get started on my 67 TR4a. My last TR4a was a 67 solid axle that I owned from late 68 to 72 so I'm a little foggy on some bits. So far I've stripped out most of the interior, removed the bonnet and started to pull parts out of the engine compartment. I've removed the pedal box, intake manifold and carbs, thermostat housing and a lot of ancillary bits until it got too hot to continue. The car looks undisturbed with everything intact including the wiring harness.
since both the MGB and the Bugeye are unibody cars and most everything is welded together I was happy to see that the wings bolt on and I started removing them to access the possible/probable rust damage. So far it looks like I need to patch the drivers side floor, replace the boot floor, and replace the gas tank, but the sills look pretty good with no bubbling paint. I want to make sure I remove all the fasteners before I go yanking on a front wing and have removed all the slotted screws along the top of the wing, the 2 hex head bolts at the top rear of the wing, and the 3 hex head bolts on the bottom of the wing...are there more?
Thanks, Rut
