TR4/4A TR4A Bullet Racing Style Mirrows Opinion

Need opinions on the quality of the bullet racing style mirrors available for our 67 TR4A. Thanks

Stinger,

Sorry, I don't have any information on the bullet mirrors, but I am curious if yours are fender-mounted or door-mounted?

My 1967 has fender-mounted bullet mirrors on both front fenders while my 1966 only had 1 bullet mirror installed on the driver's side front fender. I felt that the larger bullet mirrors were too much on the fender along with the side marker lights when I restored the 1966 and installed the older style fender mirrors on both sides with convex glass. I was always happy with them and will probably do the same on the 1967 when I restore it.

Scott, Our 67 TR4A had the mirrors mounted on both the driver and passenger doors. We are looking for replacement mirrors of the bullet style and wondered how the different brands compared as far as the quality. Thnks Don

IMHO moss has the best of a motley lot...If you place the darn things on the passenger door, you must modify it to see anything.....not aware of a convex bullet mirror.

Well I had to go search and I did find a couple places in the UK selling convex and flat bullet mirrors.

Here's one.

Convex and flat bullet mirrors

Never dealt with the company or product before.

Howdy Stinger,

When I had my `66TR4A; I had (3" dia) chrome bullet mirrors mounted on ea. door. They were quite sleek and compact looking vs. the "Std 4"dia". Now, Try and find them.

I had a `59 Bugeye that I had mounted "Raydot" mirrors on ea. door & looked Great. Their Alum, Lightweight and easy to mount. Moss sells them for $65.00ea. If your interested; I`d just check the Dia. before buying.

I`ll be putting them on my `65TR4 when I get to that stage (Not for awhile). TR3 comes first.

Have Fun Shopping,

Russ

I like the Raydot mirrors too. I do not like the other bullet type mirrors and would likely use a standard type rear view mirror instead.

I like the TEX mirrors out of the UK - good quality.
