I have an original TR4 sway bar including brackets etc that I want to fit to my TR4, thing is that I don't know how as the Moss diagrams only go so far. Does anyone have any instructions or some pictires of a correct installation..?

I installed the front sway bar on my 4A. It did not originally come with one, so I took an old one from a early tr6 and got new ends for it and you must get the extended under pan. Everything just bolts in to existing holes and to your lower suspension arms. No extra parts to buy or modify. Email me at spoulers@shaw.ca and I will take pictures of the under side to send to you. Easier to see than to explain. Cheers
 
Thanks for your offers of help on this one - still waiting for some bits to come back from the powder coaters. Will be back in touch once I get around to the sway bar.

I installed an Addco bar on the TR3. Same mounting points as the TR4. The legs mount to metal plates that hang off the lower a-arms. The hoop mounts to the front bumper supports - you have to drill two holes for the mounts.

At first I didn't think that this would work, definitely not an "optimal" setup. But after I had it installed, the thing actually works, keeps the front nice and flat.
 
Myles, When I purchased a bar for my 4A, the installation was as described by PeterK for his 3, and with similar results...
 
The factory bar installs differently than the Addco bar, though. Has it's own brackets that bolt to the frame instead of using the bumper brackets as the Addco does. Then instead of the simple flat plate of the Addco, the factory bar has a more complicated attachment to the A-arm. A bent sheet metal bracket straddles two bolts; then a 'dog leg' link that bolts into the bracket.
