TR4/4A TR4 Spare tire question

Well a 165x15 will certainly fit a stock rim and fit in the compartment. It may even may be fairly close to the circumference of the 195/65.

If you cannot find a 165x15 then a 165/80x15 is about the same.

Larry, I have the same wheel and tire set up as you along with a 165SR15 spare on a stock wheel. The thing you have to remember is when you get a flat, that 195/65/15 will not fit in the boot (ask me how I know). The spare tire compartment extends under the gas tank and the tire is too wide to fit under the tank. My flat got to ride home in the passenger seat.

I run 205/70 tires on Panasports for my TR6. I had a spare of the same size jambed, literally, into my spare well. Not a good thing. I finally resorted to finding a narrow (OE sized) Vredestein $pare which nestles nicely into the well and figure if I get a flat with the wide Michelins it should jamb into the well, especially since it would have no air in it at that moment.
