TR4/4A TR4 Shop Manual Chassis Frame Dimensions ?

Hi all:

I'm doing ground up restoration on my 63 TR4 and am checking all the chassis frame dimensions but I'm not sure how to read the inches and centimetres on Page 5-102 of the shop manual ? e.g Itme 1 is 15.19 inches or 38.58 cm's.

Does this mean the measurement should be 15 and 0.19 inches ? or 38 an 0.58 cm's ?

Got me stumped it has !

Any thoughts would be much appreciated

JB

They're the same thing (to within reasonable accuracy). 38.58 centimeters is 15.18897... inches, which rounds to 15.19.

A better question would be how are you going to measure that distance to within 100 microns ...
