TR4/4A TR4 Rebuild Running, Yeah

Hi All, Been a while since my last post. Finally have the engine installed, ( pulled it in June ) , and it started right up. Ran for twenty minutes or so at 2,000 to break in new cam and lifters. No bad noises or leaks, held oil pressure at 70#'s and kept temperature right on the money. AM I HAPPY. Need to install the exhaust system before my neighbors get me thrown out of the neighborhood, then I can get on to the little things, alternator charging, carb tuning, interior, etc. Might be driving again before long. Thanks for all the answers to questions and advice given, Mike

A nice feeling, isn't it, Mike. And, what a great way to start the new year. Hope everything else goes as smoothly.

Wow, with no exhaust system on musta sounded like a Supermarine Spitfire on a very long takeoff roll, you obviously have VERY understanding neighbours. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

New years fireworks! (just the engine noise, I diden't mean I wanted it to blow up)
I'd love to have heard that .
I used to have some neighbors that built street rods, I always loved to hear 'em fire up a fresh one.

All I had on was the manifold and down pipe, and it was loud.
