TR4/4A TR4 Rear End Again

After boasting of the great job I did on the rear cover plate, it now appears I may have a leak in the front seal where the driveshaft connects.

I'm not looking forward to confirming that, but I assume it will be no small job when I get to? Remove entire rear end?
