TR4/4A TR4 Dashboard and glove box

I decided that I wanted to have an original white dash in my 62 TR4. So after finding all of the pieces and the having them power coated white I now realize that I don't have hinges for my metal glove box door and that their not available. Any suggestions before I give up and just slap a wooden dash on?

Hi Larry,

It might take a while to track down, but I'm sure you can find some hinges. There are enough parts cars and even people converting to a wood dash, that there must be some available.

I'd suggest watching for any TR4 parts auctions on eBay, where seller's are parting out cars. The earlier the TR4, the more likely it will have the painted dash.

Alternatively, there are a few used parts dealers online, you might google for them and send an email.

I agree, the white painted dash of TR4s is unique and an unusual feature.

BTW, the center switch plinth is different on painted dashes, as compared to wooden, too.
