TR4/4A TR4 dash pads

Hi all. I need to replace the (top) dash pad on my 1964 TR4. I don't really fancy refurbishing the existing one. I know Moss and TRF sell them but are they any good? What's the fit and finish like?
Thanks in anticipation.

As I recall I got them from TRF but I think they may get them from the same source. The fit was excellent. The finish was nice but not as glossy as the original.

Modern vinyl looks more like leather (dull) - 1960s vinyl looked more like plastic (gloss). Probably a good thing as a glossy dash reflects quite a bit - in fact, I use a Dashmat mainly to improve visibility.

You made need a new lower windscreen seal while you're there (the windscreen & frame have to come off for the install).

Agree, they're great. I bought mine from TRF and can't recall why I selected over Moss. I think the selection was better. I bought all at the same time so they'd match. I also ordered that cool under dash panel so the appearance was cleaner. It was a real chore trimming and fitting it, but worth it. Take your time and do it all right. BTW, as I recall, I used very little adhesive under the top dash pad, and I think some folks don't use any.

I have bought two from TRF for two cars and like them a lot. These preformed parts are the way to go.

As a matter of interest.....my dash pad needed a fresh look, so I used shoe polish.
It even filled up a slight scratch so it was much less noticeable.
