Hey folks

Thanks so much for all your input. I think I may have located this bracket local to me. If this falls through, I'll follow up on some of your leads. It's sure nice to know there is this kind of support out there. When I get this car finished I'm planning a cross the US tour, and hope to meet some of you along the way.

PS. I'm surprised no one has asked why I need this item for my 4" wider TR3 project yet...!

Thanks again

Well, not really... The TR6 chassis is, of course, IRS factory, But I'm converting the diff to a Limited Slip unit from a Nissan 240SX. The bracket makes an easy mounting conversion- at the one end at least.

Ahh... I had forgot that you are using the TR6 Chassis. Goodparts sells a modified Nissan Diff to bolt straight into the TR6 chassis. Good for you to do it on your own. With your fab skills it shouldn't be a problem.

Well yes. I was a little freaked at the price for the unit and the conversion bits. Now here's a cool tip. I've read alot about doing this mod. on the internet, and the word was that only a few Nissan products used this LSD unit- Infiniti Q45 being one. Because of the relative rarity of this part the used prices are high. BUT- this is in the USA. Here in Canada ALL Nissan 240SX diffs are LSD- so less costly and many more available. And the best part is the 240SX diff cover uses four studs to bolt on a diff. mount bracket to the sub-frame... and that's why I'm hot for a TR250 mount bracket- it's got four holes too! You see where I'm heading? I'm not sure yet, but I may be able to modify the stock TR6 front mount bracket to work with the Nissan LSD as well, making the whole conversion affordable. If people are interested in how this mod. evolves, I will keep up the progress reports.

Cheers
